My favorite thing to do while I’m at Newport Beach is wander around and look at all the shops. You will find tons of shops and restaurants along this famous beach, so there is plenty to do asides from lounge around in the sand or swim in the water. You can get some amazing seafood and sandwiches at some of the cafes in the area. You can also pick up some beachwear at shops. You can do this all before or after you hang out in the warm waters of Newport Beach. The beach can be busy at times, so look up peak times and avoid them if you dislike hanging out in a huge crowd. The summertime is obviously busier than winter, but the warm southern California winters make beaches a year-round attraction. Be sure to bring a towel to keep yourself dry and free of sand, and remember to bring sunblock to protect yourself from burning.
